Amy Hawk Obituary

New York, New York - On Tuesday, August 17,2021, Amy Hawk, beloved daughter, sister, aunt, family member and friend passed away at the age of 41. Amy was born on October 16, 1979 in Fayetteville, North Carolina where her father was stationed in the Army. Amy spent her school years in Boise, ID and graduated from Borah High School in 1998. She went on to college at Linfield College in McMinnville, OR for one year then pursued her dream of living in New York City and attended Adelphi University in Garden City, NY. Amy became a proud member of the Delta Delta Delta sorority and was quite eclectic and loved theater and law. She pursued her passion for law and worked for the Ada County Prosecutor's Office as a legal assistant for several years before moving back to NYC. Amy worked at Hodgson Russ LLP in Manhattan as a legal secretary for the past 16 years.

Amy loved everything New York- the theater, the hustle and bustle, the restaurants, her friends and of course, the Yankees! Amy was kind and generous and vivacious and full of love and laughter. She touched everyone she met and had a tremendous heart for children. Her greatest joys were her niece and nephews and she was so dedicated and proud of them. Amy loved to travel, and she meticulously planned special trips to take with her family and friends, complete with personal itineraries! These experiences and memories will be cherished forever.

Amy was preceded in death by her father, Craig Hawk, grandparents, Dave and Dona Hawk, Marietta Camargo and Dan Bueno, and cousins, Sean and Jordan Hawk.

She is survived by her mother, Dana Hawk, her brother, Kyle Hawk and his wife April and their three children, Gracie, Wyatt and Hunter, numerous aunts and uncles and cousins.

Funeral services will be held on September 11, 2021 at the Salubria Cemetery in Cambridge, ID.

In lieu of flowers please consider a donation to the following organizations in Amy's name: WIN New York and the Ronald McDonald House in Boise, ID.
