Juanita Rico Obituary

Juanita Devalle Rico was born on Nov. 22, 1942, at Alamo, Texas. She went to be with our Lord and Savior in Heaven on April 19, 2009. Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, April 23, 2009 at Our Lady of The Valley Catholic Church. Viewing hours will be held at Dakan Funeral Chapel between 6 and 8 p.m. on Wednesday, April 22.
Juanita was close with the Lord and was a shining example of God's goodness. She had so much love and kindness in her heart. Not a bad thing could be said about our beloved Juanita. Her soul was pure, true and lovely to everyone who knew her. A woman who's worth was more than diamonds and rubies. Juanita had a strong dedication to her family and those she held close to her heart. In return she was the center of our family, and guiding light for all of us.
Juanita loved her music and dancing. She had fondness for flowers and all things beautiful. You could find comfort in her laughter and hugs.
Juanita's greatest achievement and joy were her children. She is survived by her seven daughters: Janie, Estella, Elizabeth, Rosalinda, Maryann, Alicia, and Esmeralda, and six sons: Ray, Carlos, Ricardo, Ramon, Gonzalo Jr. and Roy. Juanita was grandmother to 30 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren and beloved sister to Lupe, Genovena, Maria, Augustine, Jose and Carlos.
Juanita was joined in heaven with her father, Carlos Devalle and mother Leandra Medrano Devalle. She will also be rejoined to care and love for her young son Gonzalito.
We love her so much and will truly miss her. Even though she's no longer with us, she will forever be in our hearts and continue to be a guiding light for all of us.
