I'm sorry for your loss. I knew him when I was growing up. He was a good man. Tony went to school with me and his folks were in the ward as I was.

We had the privilege of calling Don our friend, in fact if you knew Don, he was your friend....... He was always smiling about something, GOOD or BAD he was SMILING!! He was always lending a helping hand in anything that was going on. You could most definitely count on him. May his family find peace in knowing he has entered his next chapter in his journey, I'm sure with a SMILE!

Could not have had a better "Home Teacher!" He loved to come and visit, it was a pleasure to have him in our home. He even helped out my Dad (as my request) when he got Cochlear implants. Brother Ciccone's encouragement to him, at that time, made all the difference! He was always willing to serve!!! One of my biggest memories of Brother and Sister Ciccone is one of our Ward Halloween Party as Pirates.... yes, Pirates!!! It was great!!!

He was a good man I have known him for years. Him and I used to go get dinner at the homestead restaurant as friends and always laughed and talked. He was so kind. I will miss him

To Uncle Don's Family:
With a heavy heart I send Lyle and my, Nanida (Nida) Hansen Green, Niece to Uncle Don and daughter of his sister Nanna Ida Kendall Hansen and Earl Herman Hansen. Times were sparse in visits through the years, however, they were very meaningful and filled with love as they occurred. Occassionaly Uncle and I would enjoy conversing on the phone, sharing the joy of memories, laughing together or serious we enjoyed the time. Uncle Don was the Uncle I was closest with and was of course my favorite. Just a few weeks ago I and he had our last phone visit. At that time he was as always very joyful and fun to visit with. It was a shock when Don Jr. left a message that Uncle Don was terminally ill and shortly after passed on to be with the rest of his family and feeling the joy of that reunion. With heavy hearts of all those he has left behind, we will lean on the good times and memories of a wonderful loving man, until we meet again. Lyle is saddened as well and enjoyed the times we were together with Uncle Don and supports me in the thoughts I expressed. We so wanted to join you at the funeral, but it would be a very difficult long drive for Lyle since he is now 87 years of age. Tell my Uncle we wanted to come and share in his departure.
Thank you!
All our love to everyone! Lyle and Nida Green 801-603-4449/801-603-2677

Don and Shirley were my little league co-coaches from 1960-1963. They were excellent and highly respected coaches loved my their players. We were sponsored by Wake Electric, and a few times per game, when the team was on defense, Don would yell "hey Wakes, are you awake?". So endearing. I, and many other kids on his teams, stayed friends with Don (and Shirley) decades after the little league experience. Very classy man.
