Erma Nellie Clark

MALAD, Idaho - Erma Clark, 92, life time Oneida County resident passed away on Friday December 25, 2010, at her daughter's home in North Ogden, Utah, where she has been residing.
Erma was born on September 7, 1918, in Malad, Idaho, a daughter of Walter Scott and Nellie Jones Richards. She was raised and educated in Elkhorn and Malad, Idaho and was a graduate of Malad High School.
She married Cecil Ray Clark on February 25, 1944, in Malad, Idaho. Ray and Erma farmed and ranched in Dairy Creek in the summer and spent the winter months at their home in St. John. They raised four children Bonnie (McCann), Boyd, DeLon & Wayne. Erma was famous for her homemade bread. If you had Erma's homemade bread, butter and jam, you didn't need desert!
Erma was a constant support on the farm by cooking, cleaning and doing endless chores. During harvest times she often cooked meals for several extra hands as well as her own family for as long as it took to complete the harvest. Erma's family was her life. Although she had several wonderful friends, neighbors and in-laws, her very best friends were her two sisters Dorothy and Vera.
Erma is survived by three children; Bonnie (John) McCann of North Ogden, Utah, Boyd (Tami) Clark of Inkom, Idaho, and Wayne Clark of Malad; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; one sister and two sister-in-laws. She was preceded in death by her husband Ray; son DeLon; a sister and a brother. Funeral services will be held Thursday, December 30, 2010, at noon in the Horsley Funeral Home 132 W. 300 N. in Malad. Friends may call at the funeral home Thursday prior to services from 10 to 11:45 am. Burial will follow in the Malad City Cemetery.
