Frosty Lords Obituary
Frosty Lords
October 2, 1945 - May 27, 2016
Foster (Frosty) Lords of Aloha, OR died with his family at his side. Born in Pocatello, he resided there for 34 years before moving to Aloha for the remainder of his life, calling both home. He served his country in the Army Reserve where he started his lifetime career in transportation management. His career spanned many companies and industries. He loved sports and could remember decades of amazing stats in football, basketball and golf. The Blazers, Oregon State University, University of Oregon and Aloha High School will have one less fan cheering them on. He was active in Pop Warner until his boys reached middle school. He became an active member of the Aloha Booster Club. Along with the boy's interests, he also enjoyed hunting, fishing, and skiing with them. He was a do it yourself guy, could fix almost anything, and knew a little about everything. He never threw anything away, just in case he needed it. He was a collector of anything he thought had value. His retirement included trips with his wife, caring for his mother in Idaho, visits with family and friends, hobbies, and playing Texas Hold'em at Elsie Stuhr Center and "the Mountain," not to be confused with Mt. Hood, but Spirit Mountain. Frosty had a kind heart, was charismatic, and had a great smile. He could make friends wherever he went; no one stayed a stranger for long. He was full of life, had a wonderful sense of humor, and was good to all who knew him. He loved his family and friends and will be missed. He is survived by his wife of almost 50 years, JoLynn; son, Tod (Danette); grandchildren, Brooke, Carly and Rachel; brother, Ronald Preece; sister, Debby Lords; along with many nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death, his son, Brett; brother, Eddy; parents, Ed and Evelyn. Frosty requested no funeral, only that people remember him in their own way. He and his family wish to thank The Pearl, the EXCELLENT neurological team and hospital staff at OHSU, along with Legacy Hopewell House, which treated him and his family with such wonderful medical care, compassion, and dignity at the end of his life.
