Paula Neeser Obituary

In Loving Memory of Paula (Roberts) Neeser

beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother (Nana), sister, and friend, passed away at home surrounded by family on December 21, 2024, at the age of 73, following a courageous fight against an unforeseen cancer diagnosis that ultimately took her from us much too soon. Born in June 1951 in Soda Springs, Idaho, to Afton Roberts and John "Pinky" Roberts, Paula brought warmth, love, and laughter to all who knew her.

Paula was a proud graduate of Marsh Valley High School and earned her associate's degree from Idaho State University. Paula was a local bartender for many years and served as secretary for the Pocatello Pool League, making connections and friendships wherever she went. She gained her love for the game through a shared interest with her father who was an avid pool player. Many of the friendships she made through the Pool League were longstanding and cherished by her. She also dedicated much of her life to service, including six years with AmeriCorps, where she made a lasting impact on her community. Further, through her work with the University of Idaho EFNEP program, she enriched the lives of many youths by providing 4-H services. In her later years, Paula devoted two decades to working with the legal courts, supervising tox screening analysis for the county's drug and alcohol courts. She was also an active member of Al-Anon and her church, finding strength and purpose in these communities. She was an avid reader and loved her dog, Bella; you would often find her with either a book in hand or her sweet dog. Paula adored having her nails done and showcasing her creative nail art for the season.

Paula's adventurous spirit led her to cherish outdoor explorations and nature, camping, skiing, concerts, gardening, and "coddiwompling" with her family. She was an artist who was accomplished in any medium that struck her interest. Similarly, she was a skilled seamstress who created everything from costumes for theatrical productions to Halloween costumes. She also cherished participating in or observing the school events, sports, and activities of her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She made holidays special, creating cherished traditions and unforgettable memories. Above all, Paula had a gift for making friends from all walks of life, and her kindness extended far and wide.

Paula was predeceased by her parents, John and Afton Robers; her sister Christine Roberts; and her great-granddaughter Rainee Wiebelhaus. She is survived by her children, daughter Trisha Robinson (KC Mcceery) and granddaughters, Chantae Smith and Kelsie Ayers; daughter Nikki (Vasili) Devidze and grandson Vito Devidze; daughter Kori (Andrew) Barbee, granddaughter Gabriell Bosquez and grandsons Moses Bosquez, Keegan Williams, and NiKiya Williams; son Joshua Neeser and granddaughter Emma Neeser; and daughter Ashlee (Katia) Neeser; her great-grandchildren, Damin Wiebelhaus, Taevin Smith, Dante Wiebelhaus, and Drayken Wiebelhaus; her brothers, John (Diane) Roberts and Paul (Sheila) Roberts and many nieces and nephews.

Paula will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who were touched by her generous heart. Her legacy of love and her passion for life will live on in the hearts of those who knew her. Her family will carry her with them always, especially on all their future coddiwomples.

Paula and I are friends from 2002 forward. She was an amazing friend, and full of fun.
We had many fun friendship moments and traveled together or met at the same events and shared time together. She was a joy to call my friend. We enjoyed working together and having fun with each other in shared service.
