Scott Simmons Obituary

Scott Alan Simmons
POCATELLO - Scott Alan Simmons returned to our Heavenly Father on Thursday, May 17, 2012, at a local medical center.
He was born February 12, 1970, in Pocatello, Idaho, to Edward and Barbara Simmons, the fifth child and the first boy of seven children.
Scott graduated from Highland High School in 1988 then moved on to study at Ricks College in Rexburg, Idaho. Recently he has been attending Idaho State University with a major in microbiology.
He is a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served a faithful mission in the Portland Oregon Mission.
Scott was sealed to Lisa Wray in the Logan Temple on July 07,1991, (later divorced). They were blessed with two wonderful and fantastic boys, Jonah Scott Simmons, 17; and Logan Edward Simmons, 7; that were the light of their father's eyes. Scott spent many hours building a great relationship with his boys building Star Wars Legos sets and playing video games. They also spent much of their time camping and fishing.
Scott enjoyed snow skiing, mountain biking and other outdoor activities. He had also earned a black belt in tae kwon do.
He is survived by his two sons, his parents and his siblings: Debra Ann Rich (Steve), Lynda Kay Clark (Mike), Pam Carlson (Brent), Denise Perkins (Craig), Becky Jo Burmester (Jim), and Douglas Eric Simmons.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, May 22, 2012, at the Chapel Street LDS Chapel at 300 E. Chapel Street. A viewing will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday, May 21, 2012, at Wilks Funeral Home located at 211 W. Chubbuck Road, Chubbuck, Idaho, and one hour prior to the services on Tuesday at the church.
