Beverly Haley Obituary

Beverly June Gregoire Haley, 81, of Boise, ID passed away at her home on Tuesday, November 09, 2010. Memorial services will be held at 3:00 PM on Saturday, November 13th at Wynwood at River Place, 739 E. Parkcenter Blvd. in Boise. Services are under the direction of Accent Funeral Home, Meridian. Condolences may be left for the family at www.AccentFuneral.com. Beverly was born on May 11, 1929 in Pocatello, ID to George H. and Josephine Gregoire. She married Roy Haley on June 13, 1948 in Pocatello. A resident of Pocatello for 75 years, Bev's involvement in volunteer activities included: past president: PEO, Chapter BJ; past president: Lady's Golf Association at Juniper Hills Country Club; secretary: St. Anthony's Hospital Guild; secretary and treasurer of Juniper Hills Country Club Condo Association; C.A.S.A for children - GAL (guardian ad lidem); involvement in Girl Scouts, Brownies and golf, bridge and numerous other activities. Beverly was a caring, concerned and committed mother and wife to her family. She enjoyed an active social life for many years with friends known to her and her husband for over 60 years. Bev's interest in literature was evident in the many audio books that she listened to in the years following her diagnosis of macular degeneration. Her insatiable curiosity was evident in the litany of questions she asked of friends and family members who fondly referred to them as her "20 Questions"! Bev is survived by her husband of 62 years, Roy E. "Bud" Haley, sister, Eleanore Diane Gregoire Schneider of Marin County, CA; daughters: Linda Haley Gebhart of Portland, OR, Shauna Haley Keithly and husband Mike of Cascade, ID and Pamela Haley Myers and husband Terry of Boise, ID; grandchildren: Nick and Jessica Gebhart and of Luxembourg City, Luxembourg, Jill Gebhart of Garmisch, Germany, Gregory Myers and Haley Myers of Boise; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her grandson, Ian Haley Keithly, mother, Josephine Robison Gregoire and father, George H. Gregoire and brothers: John Robert Gregoire and Edward Paul Gregoire. In lieu of flowers memorials in Bev's name can be made to a charity of your choice. The family would like to express their appreciation to Harrison's Hope Hospice, the staff at Wynwood Assisted Living and most of all to Janet Moore, mom's wonderful personal assistant and dear friend.

It was such a pleasure to know Bev via long distance calls over the years! Discovering her and all my grandfather's first cousins through my genealogy studies has been an ultimate blessing. Bev was an intelligent, well-spoken, true lady. I shall miss her voice. Heartfelt sympathy to Bud and my cousins. Jamie Dissault Szymanski
