Dear Lindy, I only learned of Claude's passing yesterday from someone who used to work for Claude at Impact Sales. I was deeply saddened. Being now almost a year ago, I hope you will still be able to read this note as I don't know your address in Boise. The phrase associated with Claude's personality is right on accurate; but you and everyone else knows that. For me personally, it is slightly inaccurate.
Claude's interactions with me were more than once in a lifetime; and had a lifetime impact on exactly who I am and how I am doing. As you might recall Claude and I worked together for several years while you were in Spokane. Claude's skills and personality allowed me to lead the nation for the company I worked for thus affording me a successful business life. Claude's efforts and thoughts for me did not stop when I changed companies and no longer was considered an an asset to Haffner/See bottom line. Two years later I was on the hunt for another job. Claude was instrumental in my obtaining a position with another company. Four years following that, not wanting to relocate I found myself looking for another place to hang my hat. Claude once again came to my aide and landed yet another job for me with yet another company.
Now wouldn't you think he did all he could to show his friendship. Oh no not Claude. Deciding to leave the grocery industry I changed occupations completly and as you know Lindy, became a realtor. Claude and I had lost touch by now. Then all of a sudden I get a phone call from none other than Claude. He stated he was moving to Portland and heard that I was a realtor. He had already been in touch with two others and said let me call you back that night. He called back and said he explained to the two others that he had a great friend in the industry and wanted to support his budding real estate career. As you know, Lindy not only did you folks work with me on your purchase; but because my father's illiness I was gone a lot of the time in Penn. while you were searching. You both actually found the home and Claude instructed the builder that unless the builder worked with me as your buyer's agent you would not be able to buy it.
So for me personally, Claude; and I want to say you Lindy (I still have the picture of you and me dancing in Hawaii) was more than just " once in a lifetime " When others would just as soon forget you, as I have experienced, when you could no longer contribute to their success, Claude never forgot. Claude never gave up on a friend.
I suspect God felt Claude had done enough cheering up folks on earth and said I need a little help up here and even though I am God a little rest from time to time woud be nice. Hence he promoted Claude to heaven as his Ambassador of Good Will, Good Feelings and Smiles. Truth be know, though Claude is in heaven, his presence is still here on earth with those he has come in contact. I can and do often harken back to a fond memory of Claude and a big smile comes upon my face and my day is better. Every time I cook out I remember Claude because he had purchased a new grill and he once thought to himself who could best use my old one and he thought of me 12 years later It is still in use. So Lindy, even in writting this letter, I am smiling through the tears. My thoughts will always be with you and Claude, and thank you Lindy for sharing your husband and giving up many dinner and an evening at home with Claude so I could experience and enjoy the Claude See Phenomenon when I came to town. My thoughts and prayers are with you, Bob

Dear Lindy, Cindy and Craig,
While I never met you Lindy nor Craig -- it was a 'once in lifetime' experience to have known and worked with Claude through my
association with "Crunch Pak". He was so full of enthusiasm for life and his work and definitely a man always on the go ! I always wanted to take notes when talking with him because I was afraid I would forget something since he moved so fast! It is so special that Shay could know her grandfather and that he could enjoy the delight of her. He was a teacher and one learned from being around him for sure. It is my prayer that all of your family will be able to treasure in the days ahead the many good memories Claude gave each of you. And that those thoughts will displace the sadness you feel right now.
I would love to hear from you Cindy and where your work has taken you and Shay. I am retired now but do think of you and have often wondered where you are.
Thanks for sharing Claude's life with so many.

The tribute to your dad was beautiful. You all have set a wonderful example of how a family should love one another and communicate it regularly.
