George Pullman
February 22, 1924 - February 20, 2021
Boise, Idaho - George Pullman, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather went home to be with Jesus on February 20, 2021.
George Pullman was born in Torrance, California on February 22, 1924 to Joseph and Minnetta Pullman.
George played football and basketball at Heyburn High School and was captain of both teams.
George married his high school sweetheart and love of his life Jeanne Maughan in June 1945, and was married for 73 long and beautiful years. He was a Mason for more than 70 years, Scottish Rite, El Korah, and the Royal Order of Jesters. George was potentate of El Korah Shrine in 1989.
As his own children grew up George got involved in a variety of their activities, including PTA, Job's Daughters, and scouts. He often furnished trucks for parades and hayrides and for 40 years let the Boy Scouts use his property near the Boise River for camp outs.
For his work on behalf of Job's Daughters, Bethel 52, he received the rare honor in 1965 of being made an honorary life member.
George and Jeanne traveled all over the world and he loved traveling with her. After retirement George and Jeanne traveled with Jeanne's sister Pat and her husband Keith Jordan to Arizona in their fifth wheels where they all golfed and traveled to Mexico.
George held many leadership positions at Boise First Christian, University Christian, and Parkview Christian Church.
George is survived by; daughter Susan Logsdon (William), son Richard Pullman, and daughter Patti Horsfall (Rick). Eight grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.
Service for George Pullman is Saturday, February 27, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at Parkview Christian Church at 201 W. Ustick Road, Meridian, Idaho.
In lieu of flowers donations are suggested to be sent to Parkview Christian Church or Shriners Hospital for Children, 1275 E. Fairfax Road, Salt Lake City, Utah 84103.
The service will be streamed at 2:00 at pcc.org , and click on the facebook logo.
