Ila King Obituary

Ila Deane King
1928 ~ 2014
Ila Deane King, 86, of Boise, Idaho died July 24, 2014. Ila was born in Long Beach, California January 29, 1928. She was the oldest daughter of Lloyd and Beulah Scrivner and loving wife of Gerald I. King who preceded her in death in 2001.
She attended school at White Cross, Meridian, graduating from Kuna High School. She also attended Links Business College in Boise before working in a number of different capacities. She was active in Eastern Star while living in Cascade. She was probably most proud of keeping house and home and forming a part of a team with her life partner while he completed 27 years in the Idaho State Police. She was an avid reader, loved to cook and entertain and always looked forward to travel. She always tried to live life with a sense of humor and a cheerful outlook.
Ila will be greatly missed by family and friends, old and new and at Overland Court Assisted living in Boise. Hospice Care, Heart n' Home provided much needed help and support for Ila and her family. We would appreciate your support for this organization or another charity of your choosing in lieu of flowers.
She is survived by three children: Jerry King and wife Julie, of Weiser; Sue Cooper and husband Ray, of Cascade; Debbie Lange and husband Brian, of Boise. She is also survived by five grandchildren: Laurie King, Bethany Smith, Aimee Cromwell, and Dylan Lange all of Boise and Kelsey Davison of McMinnville, Oregon. Ila also had five great grandchildren: Staten and Lawson Smith, Rebecca, Brianna, and Cassidee Cromwell, all of Boise. She is preceded in death by a sister Carol Kern. Surviving siblings include: Donnie Radford and husband Murdock, of Pinehurst, Idaho; Barbara Reynolds and husband Don, of Wenatchee, Washington; Melvin Scrivner and wife Jan, of Meridian, Idaho; Elvin Scrivner and wife Dixie, of Meridian, Idaho; Wes Scrivner and wife Barb, of Boise, Idaho.
Services will be held Tuesday, July 29, 2014 at 11AM at Summers Chapel, 3629 E. Ustick Road, Meridian, Idaho.

I am so so sorry to read of Ila's passing. We didn't know until I just checked Debs FB account. I'm sorry we weren't there to help in some way. We love you all and will always remember your family as a very special part of our lives. Ila was such a blessing to all she knew. I'll never forget her awesome lasagna and her Eggs Benedict all the lunches we shared in Emmett and the hot dog roasts out on the ranch in Middleton. She had a golden heart. Love you all. Netti

Aunt Ila was a true lady. My life is so much richer for having known her and her wonderful husband, Gerald. The King family is the epitome of what makes our country so great. Jerry, Sue, Debbie and families, our hearts go out to you. May God Bless and Comfort all of you.

My thoughts and prayers are with the King family. I did Ila's hair for many years and enjoyed talking about many subjects. Her family meant a great deal to her and I know she loved you all very much. I honored to have been a part of her life. I will miss her greatly!
