Kay Nowierski Obituary

April 9, 1949 - October 11, 2023

Eagle, Idaho - A vivacious source of joy, Kay Lynn Nowierski brought love, life, and laughter to each person she met. She died on October 11th at her home in Eagle, Idaho surrounded by her family.

Kay was born in Billings, Montana on April 9th, 1949. She relocated with her family to Boise, Idaho at the age of 14 where she met the love of her life Bill Nowierski at South Junior High.

The couple fell fast and hard for each other. They began dating in 1965, married in 1968 and soon after, had their first of four children.

Kay was good at many things but excelled at being a mother and the heart of the Nowierski family. Her love was infinitely deep but gentle. She put family first, often ahead of her own needs, and gave incredible hugs and support to her four children: Shawn Nowierski, Mandy Burns, Anna Budolfson, and Jim Nowierski.

An advocate for the disadvantaged, Kay channeled a difficult childhood into service. She visited nursing homes, volunteered in food banks, and spent countless hours praying for others as an active parishioner in the Catholic Church.

Kay leaves behind a husband, four children, seven grandchildren, two sisters, and countless friends. She will be missed.

Kay was my junior and senior high school friend. I loved our friendship for she was kind to all, did not engage in petty gossip and gave to everyone the spark and radiance of her personality. Being Kay´s friend and part of our group truly made my school years a more elevated experience. We were not a clique. Any person was welcome and could be Kay´s friend. I am still full of respect and love for Kay.
