Rudy Barchas was a bright, interesting, cheerful friend I first met at Antioch College Ohio in 1962, the year we both entered Antioch. He was a very sensible, practical young man during his undergraduate college years and a refreshing change from many others who did not have Rudy's virtues. He was a good man and had a lot of friends he left behind who will miss him. When he was a young man at Antioch College Ohio, he had a full head of thick, bushy copper red hair. He was very handsome and had many girlfriends. I wish someone would post a photo of Rudy Barchas showing him in his handsome young adult days!

I remember Rudy from Buena High School. He was in a class ahead of me. Rudy's father was on the School Board when my father was Superintendent of schools. They did not always agree on running the school district, but respected each other.
I reconnected with Rudy during a high school reunion, and we became good friends. We communicated with each other as Rudy coped with the progression of Parkinson's disease. We lost touch for awhile as I became involved with my husband's cancer, and Rudy could no longer write and send e-mails. And now, in June of 2019, I learned that Rudy lost his battle with his disease. I am saddened to learn of his passing. He lived life to its fullest, and I shall miss him. Rest In Peace, dear friend. Love, Tracy (Ensign) Wells

I was Rudy's younger brother and will always miss and love him, especially his friendliness and charisma. He waa a great man and may his memory be for a great blessing and may his family and friends be comforted.

I worked for Rudy in his law practice during the late 1980's. What a kind man and great boss. I'm sorry we didn't stay in touch and sad to hear of his passing. My sympathy to Jeanne, their children and grandchildren.
