Richard Hess Obituary

Richard A. Hess
age 85 of Hartville, passed away Aug. 6, 2013 at the Aultman Compassionate Care Center. He was born Jan. 28, 1928 in Kent, the son of the late Clyde and Sarah (Cartwright) Hess. Dick proudly served his country as a Navy veteran of World War II. He was the owner of Dick's Tire Service, which he operated in Louisville for many years. Dick was an avid golfer. He is preceded in death by his wife, Beulah (Lynch) Hess and two sisters, Ellen Board and Betty Kerchner.
Dick is survived by two daughters, Elaine (Christopher) Schofield of Hartville and Jo Ann Evans of Columbus; two brothers, Norman (Nora) Hess of Louisville and Henry (Ruth) Hess of Colorado; two sisters, Vivian (Bill) Mobilian of Canton and Lois (DeVern) Cordray of North Canton; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Richard's family will receive friends Thursday from 6-8 p.m. and Friday at 11 a.m. at the Paquelet-Falk Funeral Home in Louisville. Interment will follow in Union Cemetery.
