Gordon Clifford Obituary
Anderson, SC
Gordon Dean Clifford, husband of Jane Clifford, passed away December 3, 2018 at Rainey Hospice House.
Mr. Clifford was born in New Richmond, WI, to Ernest W. and Dorothy Petrie Clifford. He finished high school in Des Plains, IL and attended Clemson University. Mr. Clifford served in the US Army in Korea from 1951-1953 and was retired from Crawford and Company Insurance Adjusters in 1996.
In addition to his wife, Jane, of 65 years, he is survived by a daughter, Jan Stephens, her husband, Chase, and grandson, Nate Stephens, of Atlanta. His only sibling, Avis Jean Clifford, of Belle Plain, MN, died in 1990.
Mr. Clifford was an active member of New Covenant Presbyterian Church. He loved his family, friends, Clemson football, boating on Broadway Lake and his dog.
Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday December 15, at Sullivan-King Mortuary, with Dr. Mark Burchette officiating. The family will receive friends following the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Calvary Home for Children, 110 Calvary Home Circle, Anderson, SC 29621.
