Melba Ann Wood
IVA, S.C.
Melba Ann Wood, 84, of Iva, passed away on January 6, 2015 at AnMed Health Center.
She was born in Asheville, NC; she was preceded in death by her husband, Roy R. Wood, and her daughter, Kathy Denise Crawford.
She was a member of Truth Tabernacle Baptist Church, and an active member of Ladies Oriental Shrine of North America.
She is survived by four daughters; Ivalee (Frank) Vaughn, Bobbie Lynne Greene and husband, Edason Woodard, Anita (Alvin) Whitmire, Belinda (Junior) Greenway; seven grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.
She was a loving mother and nanny to her family.
The family is at the home of Ivalee Vaughn, 180 McAdams Road, Iva, SC.
The visitation and memorial service will be held on Friday, January 9, 2015 at Truth Tabernacle Baptist Church, Highway 81 South, Starr, SC, from 2 p.m. to 4:30 p.m, with Pastors Hudson White and Danny Burnley presiding.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Truth Tabernacle Baptist Church, or Ladies Oriental Shrine of North America.
