Bruce Tannenbaum Obituary

Bruce Jay Tannenbaum

On Thursday February 4th, 2021, Bruce Jay Tannenbaum, loving husband, father, and son passed away at the age of 52.

Bruce was born and spent all his life in Indiana. He attended North Central High School and Ball State University where he met his wife of 28 years.

He helped run the family business All Season's Building Materials for decades alongside of his father and later some of his children. He was a kind man who always helped those in need. He was also an avid Bruce Springsteen and Star Trek fan and an animal lover.

Bruce was preceded in death by his brother Alan and mother Miriam. He is survived by his wife Corinne, his four children Ahleeah, Hanna, James, and Tabitha, his sister Caren, and his father Bernard.

Funeral services will be limited to family and close friends due to Covid-19 restrictions. We hope to be able to do a larger memorial in his honor when it is safe to do so.

Flanner Buchanan-Oaklawn Funeral Center and Cemetery are handling arrangements.

Ahleeah,
I, too, lost my father in my senior year of college at Purdue. He, too, had a business that Jeff and I have run for the last 52 years.
You can make it and you will make it.

He was one of those rare people that could change your view of life with a five minute conversation. He always made me feel better about everything.

My brother and I worked with Bruce for over 30 years supplying him with PROSOCO and Mortar Net products. It is unusual to say, in a business relationship, that he was kind, considerate and warm to us both. I will miss him tremendously.

Bruce was a client and a friend, always so kind and helpful. He was always the call I made to get honest feedback and if I needed to feel better. He was a true family man, so very proud of his kids, and I truly appreciated him for that. May the Lord shine on his memory forever and give your family strength and peace. I will miss him dearly.

As a vendor to their business I worked with Bruce over the last several years. It was always a pleasure to call on Bruce and have engaging conversations. He was really a nice guy and so accommodating. I know he will be missed in the construction supply industry and by all his customers and associates. Thoughts and prayers for his family.

No words. Bruce was my second grade student at Delaware Trails Elementary School in the 1970s. Some things didn't change. He was sweet, funny, kid and bright. His mom was SO kind and supportive. We reconnected on Facebook a few years ago, and you could count on Bruce's being the wryest and most hilarious comments in the lineup. Love and wishes for peace and comfort to his family. I never met him. He was a distributor for a company I worked for. I talked to him on the phone several times. I could tell he was an awesome and caring person. God Bless his family for his loss. I feel like I lost a friend.
