Charles Edward Barker
88, of Indianapolis, IN, passed away on October 21, 2014 surrounded by his loving family. Charles was known for his generous and giving spirit to all who knew him, Charles and his loving wife Clara together built their home; where it was always open to family, friends and neighbors. Charles was a World War II Veteran where he served his country proudly. He retired from Diamond Chain in 1981 after 26 years of service.
Charles was born on September 29, 1926 to William and Elizabeth Barker. He is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Clara Barker; daughters, Barbara Jo (Robert) Chapple and Alane (David) Biggs; sons, Charles H. (Patricia Ann) Barker, William E. (Robin) Barker, Jerry L. (Susan) Barker, and Eddie (Edna) Barker; 14 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren, loving, companions Schatze, Sadie, Maggie; sister, Martha Gower; brother, Darrell Barker. He was preceded in death by his father and mother, William and Elizabeth Barker; son, Darrell I. Barker and son-in-law, Robert Chapple.
Family and friends may call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Thursday, October 23, 2014, with funeral service on Friday, October 24, 2014 at 11 a.m. in Flanner and Buchanan - Geist , 7855 Cork Rd. Indianapolis.
Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.

My condolence goes out to the Barker family. As 2 Corinthians 4:7 brings out God can give you the power beyond what is normal so that you can endure each day. In addition, you have the loving support of family and friends.
