L.C. Bingham Obituary

L.C. "Larry" Bingham 79, of Panama City Beach, FL, passed into eternal life early Saturday morning, March 12, 2005, at his home. He was a cancer survivor of 22 years, who finally lost the fight. Services for Mr. Bingham will be held Wednesday, March 16, 2005 at 1 p.m. in the North Chapel, George A. Smith and Sons Funeral Homee, Jackson, Tennessee. Interment will follow at Antioch Cemetery. Public visitation will begin Tuesday, March 15 at the funeral home. Mr. Bingham was born in Gibson County, Tennessee on January 12, 1926 to Willie and Olivia (Hammonds) Bingham. A native of Humboldt, Tennessee, he attended Northside High School and served during WWII in the United States Air Force. He was a participant at the Berlin Blockade. He loved to travel and revisit the sites from his past military assignments. He retired as Vice President, Sales of Blue Lustre Home Care Products, Indianapolis Indiana in 1993. Having spent his lifetime in sales, Mr. Bingham enjoyed selling real estate with Shimmering Sands Realty, Inc. after relocating to Panama City Beach in 1995. He was a member of the Gulf Beach Baptist Church and the American Legion. He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Dorothy M. (Cash) Bingham; three daughters: Judi Dembowski and husband John, Ft. Worth, Texas, Glenda Davis, Santa Rosa Beach, Florida, and Treasa Huston, currently serving in the US Air Force at Andrews Air Force Base, Maryland; six grandsons, John, Larry and Glen Dembowski; Terry Jr, Jeremy and Joshua Huston; and two great-grandchildren; two brothers, Jerry Bingham, Medina, Tennessee and Albert Bingham and wife Carolyn, Humboldt, Tennessee; two sisters, Francis McCulla, Corinth, Mississippi, and Pat Ridings, Humboldt, Tennessee.
