Nick Kirages Obituary

Nick Kirages 75, of Indianapolis, IN died on May 1, 2009. Nick was born March 6, 1934 in Crawfordsville, IN to Miltos and Efrosine (Tzonas) Kirages. He graduated from Crawfordsville High School class of 1952. Nick was a veteran of the Army. He was a manager for 26 years for Kroger Super Markets and retired in 1976 then he began working for Dugan Doss Food Brokers from 1976 to 1992. Nick then began his part time career with Harlow-HRK Food Sales. He was a member of Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church. He loved and adored spending time with his four grandchildren faithfully. Nick was preceded in death by his parents and wife Betty (Speropolous) Kirages, son Milton Kirages, sister Elizabeth Maniakas and brother George Kirages. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday May 05, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church 3500 West 106th Street Carmel, IN. Calling will be Monday May 04, 2009 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Flanner and Buchanan Funeral Center - Broad Ripple 1305 East Broad Ripple Ave Indianapolis, IN and on Tuesday one hour prior to the service at the church. A Trisagion service will be held Monday evening at 7:30 p.m. at the mortuary. Nick is survived by his daughter Becky (Guy) Carleton and son William Christopher (Tina) Kirages, four grandchildren Zach, Eli, Myra, Zoe and his brother Christopher (Maria A.) Kirages. Burial will be in Crown Hill Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Riley Hospital for Children. You may send an on line condolence or view a video tribute of Nick at: www.flannbuchanan.com
