Dr. DiGeorge was an attending at St. Christopher's Hospital for Children during my residency. I will always remember his intellect and wit. He was an icon and will be sorely missed.

Anita, my daughter, Kelly, forwarded your comments to me.
I remember when I interviewed for the position of secretary. In those days we didn't have a human resource department. He put a post-it size pice of paper in the manual typewriter and told me to type something. Probable a line or two. Well I got the job. But I think it didn't hurt when I told him I went to Temple Nursing School and I was a graduate of John W Hallahan Catholic Girls High School which I believe you mother also attended. I have so many stories as you can guess after 36 years. I hope your mother and brothers and yourself are well. Mary Goodwin Kyser

I want to offer my condolences to the entire DiGeorge family. My memories are personal not professional. I have been friends with his daughter Anita for fifty years. I spent many childhood days in his home. I will never forget meals around the family table where lively conversations were complimented with his sharp wit and funny observations. I will always remember the Wildwood days where he would kick back and enjoy his family. When I was in college I wrote a paper on child abuse and the intervention of emergency room physicians. He took time out of his busy day to give me a tour of the hospital and made arrangements for me to interview a doctor in that field. He will always live in the hearts of his wife, children and grandchildren and in all those whose lives that he touched. My love to you all.

MY mother worked for your father for over 36 years. I always remember him as a comical yet caring man. I knew him my whole life as my mothers boss, the nicest boss anyone could have had, my mom still says. I am so sorry for your loss and am glad he is at peace.

My prayers go out to the DiGeorge family. I have not personally met the bright hero Dr. DiGeorge, but am thankful for his dedication to our children with DiGeorge. He has shown us the pathway to walk and through that I will walk and fight knowing he is still watching over us all in spirit. He is in Heaven with Jesus.....and I know Jesus continues to reward him for all the lives he has helped and touched. Thank You Dr. DiGeorge for EVERYTHING!!!

i am not so great with words... so nothing touching can i voice. i'm much better at thoughts and prayer...and many of these are with you all, at the passing of this extraordinary and esteemed man. he touched sooooo many of us, who never had the chance to thank him for all he did in naming this syndrome for our children. dr d began this journey for all of us, and we will all continue to honor him by pushing to bring more recognition of this syndrome to the forefront.

The world will miss this dedicated and devoted doctor, who opened up the pathway for numerous specialists after him, to pursue further research on what began as a rare disorder, that is now known to be very common. We owe him a debt of gratitude. God surely welcomed him to Heaven.

Angelo, it breaks my heart that you are no longer with us. I will always remember with love our Wildwood family vacations together with you writing texts books on the beach, family dinners at Zaberers, the 70+ years of memories you share with my Dad, your concern and help when I had thyroid problems. There's a smile on my face when I see your picture, or think of you because of the "uncle" you are to me. I'm so glad we were able to see you a few weeks ago. Rest in peace. With love, Anita #2.

So so sorry to read about Dr. DiGeorge. What an amazing man who gave hope to those who thought all was lost. DiGeorge Syndrome (named for him) is in all the medical and history books. I am proud to share his name, even if only by marriage. My condolences to all the family.
