Reale Domenic P. Age 98, lovingly known as Pretzels to family and friends. Peacefully passed away on February 1, 2025 at St. Monica Manor with his family by his side. Born on October 4, 1926 to the late Angelo and Josephine (nee Constantina) Reale, and has been a life long resident of South Philadelphia. Until the age of 94 he worked at the Philadelphia Inquirer on Friday evenings. Pop was a simple man who loved walking through his neighborhood and visiting casinos regularly. Family meant the world to him. He will be remembered for his impeccable work ethic and for being a funny, generous, devout Catholic, Country Music listener, and feisty man who was loved by all who knew him. Beloved father of Frances (Al) Cook, Wiliam (Desi) Kenney, Patricia (late Jim) Porter, Ron (Carol) Kenney, Rosemarie Joyce, John (Rita) Joyce and the late Domenic Reale Jr., Joseph Kenney, Thomas Kenney, Francis Kenney and Ellen Click. Father-in-law of Kathy Kenney. dearest Pop Pretzels of Jimmy, Philip, Sean, Chrissy, Corina, Colleen, Janice, Candy, Carolann, Melissa, Ronnie Jr., Billy Jr., Kellie, Joseph, Kenny, Joseph Jr., Jason, Jared, Kelsey and also by many great and great great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his siblings and is survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends. Relatives and friends are invited to his Visitation Friday morning from 9:30-11 A.M. at St. Nicholas of Tolentine Church, 9th and Watkins Sts. His Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 A.M. Entombment will follow in Holy Cross Garden Mausoleums.
