James Phillips Obituary

Phillips James Stephen Born on November 14, 1978, passed away on May 25, 2024, at the age of 45. Jim was a beloved father, son, brother, and friend, whose warmth and kindness touched the lives of many. Jim is survived by his 2 precious children, Kailey (9) and Jackson (7), who were the light of his life. He also leaves behind his devoted parents, Steve and Gail Phillips, his loving sister Carla Marie (Phillips) Wentworth and brother-in-law Jason Wentworth, as well as his dear brother Edward Phillips and Jess Medina. Jim is also survived by his nephews Thane and Garet Wentworth, nieces Lea and Elaina Wentworth, and his soon-to-be-born niece, baby Medina-Phillips. Jim's early years were spent in Lansdowne, PA, where he attended St. Charles Elementary School. He continued his education at Monsignor Bonner High School, graduating in 1996, and went on to earn his degree in business from Bloomsburg University in 2002. In 2007, Jim relocated to Hawaii, where he joined ALTRES as a Business Management Consultant, dedicating over 15 years of service to various industries throughout the Hawaiian Islands. Jim was an active member of the Elks Lodge and the Knights of Columbus, where he volunteered his time to support many community efforts. During High School and College Jim worked at Kix in Sea Isle City New Jersey. Even though Jim relocated to Hawaii he always considered Sea Isle City his home. Jim made several trips with Kailey and Jackson to Sea Isle to share his hometown memories and friends. A Memorial Service will be held to celebrate Jim's life, with details to be announced by the family. Jim worked with, and donated his time to many organizations in Hawaii especially the Catholic Archdiocese of Hawaii. A donation in Jim's memory can be made to the archdiocese at Ohana In Christ 2023/2024 (catholichawaii.org). Jim's legacy of love and compassion will live on in the hearts of his family and friends. May he rest in peace. Aloha Jim!

Sending my love and Aloha to all the Phillips family.

Jimmy´s passing is so sad; I´m struggling to find the appropriate words to match this sadness. Our families have been connected long before our existence. Steve, my Uncle Art, and Joe were friends since they were kids at St. Charles.

Jimmy and I started hanging around together through my cousin Tony back before high school; Sea Isle City nights of fun and lazy days. We continued connecting through high school and in college. We all worked together at Kix, enjoying great times with plenty of laughs. Our friendship continued on O´ahu, as Justin a d Eddie were the pioneers of this adventurous leap. We celebrated our weddings and kids´ birthdays together... and now we will all try to live on, always missing out brother and friend.

A Hui Ho Jimmy. Say hi to Art and remind him to give you a turn at talking for a while. Love you!

So sorry to hear of Jimmy´s passing. Find memories of him and Christian sitting out back jamming to music in his El Camino. That´s all they could do cause neither one had a drivers license. I wish you all peace
