BALIS JOHN N., age 46, of Mullica Hill on Dec. 22, 2001; beloved husband of Helena, devoted father of Nicholas and Alexander, loving son of Nicholas and Konstantina Balis of Kentriki Nafpaktias, Greece, dear brother of Anastasia Koutsogiannis of Marlton N.J., Maria Blani of Patras, Greece, Harablos Balis of Patras, Greece and Christos Balis of Langhorne PA. John was born in Kentriki Nafpaktias, Greece. He was an active member of St. Thomas Greek Orthodox Church, Cherry Hill N.J., President of Balis Family Corp., President of Nafpaktian Society of Cherry Hill, Vice President of Nafpaktian Federation of America, one of the founding members of Greek American N.J. Chamber of Commerce, Masonic Lodge #161 of Palmyra. He was very active in the Greek American Community and local and state politics in N.J. Relatives and friends are invited to attend Funeral Services Friday 12:00 at St. Thomas Greek Orthodox Church, 615 Mercer St., Cherry Hill where a Viewing will be held Thursday 7 to 9 P.M. and Friday 11 to 12 prior to the Service. Trisagon Thursday 8:00 P.M. Interment Locustwood Memorial Park, Cherry Hill. The family requests, in lieu of flowers, donations to St. Thomas Greek Orthodox Church or St. Paraskevi Church of Kentriki Nafpakias, Greece c/o Adelphia Restaurant, 1750 Clements Bridge Rd., Deptford, NJ 08096.
