Death leaves a heartache no one can heal, love leaves a memory no one can steal. The members of our CopNET family would like to thank John B. Bruder Jr. for his dedication and service to the citizens of Philadelphia. The passing of Jack will be broadcast to our 3,423 members shortly and we would like to extend our sincere condolences to his family. His absence from our ranks will be deeply missed by the remaining members of Philadelphia's Finest who were fortunate to have served with him during his police career. He will continue in our thoughts and prayers during our remaining days. "Until we meet again, may God Hold you in the palm of his hand. " . . .
Semper Fidelis.

It was an honor to serve with Jack, as a fellow fire police officer. Both Jack, and his untiring service to the community will be missed. Rest in Peace, Brother.

Denise, Mrs. Bruder and Family:
My heart is broken for each of you who are suffering such a great loss in your lives. Keep remembering all the wonderful times you've shared together, the memories created with each of you and that "Pop-Pop" made with his grandchildren are the most precious today. Wrap those wonderful words of wisdom, advice, the voice and sound of his laughter, simple conversations, his helpful hands and heart, childhood memories, holidays and just plain days shared together like those little times he made you smile...wrap them around your heart. They'll remain there forever and be with you for always. My most sincere wishes and blessings of sympathy be with each and every one of you in the days ahead. You have a special angel like no other on your side...he's a hero in every sense of the word. Much Love and Friendship.

God has opened his arms to your husband, father, Pop-Pop. You have another angel to watch and smile down on you.
May God Bless you all,
Steve, Debbie and Matt Harter

To the entire Bruder family,
Over the past few days and over those to come, you have heard and will hear many words of comfort and many times "I am sorry". We empathize with your pain...we hope these words provide you comfort with Jack's passing:
What moves through us is a silence, a quiet sadness, a longing for one more day, one more word, one more touch. You may not understand why he left this earth so soon, or why he left before you were ready to say good-bye, but little by little, you begin to remember not just that he passed away, but that he lived. And that his life gives you memories too beautiful to forget."

May the wonderful memories of joyful times together resonate as you celebrate a life well lived. As I'm sure as he would have requested.
