JOHN T., age 85, on November 4, 2008, of the Quadrangle, formerly of St. David's. Beloved husband of the late Jane H. (nee Horrocks); devoted father of Sarah J. and Martha I.; and loving grand-father of Kathryn Humm, Jacqueline Cleaver and Lauren and Scott Eveland; also survived by his sister-in-law, Mary C. Macartney. Funeral Mass Monday, 10 A.M., in St. Katherine of Siena Church, 104 S. Aberdeen Ave, Wayne, where friends may call after 9 A.M. In lieu of flowers, Memorial Gifts may be sent in his name to Riddle Healthcare Foundation (John T. and Jane H. Macartney Fund for Diabetes Education), 1068 W. Baltimore Pike, Media 19063. Interment, Calvary Cem.

It's been many years since we last spoke, but I have fond memories of you and your family, and obviously the relationship you had with your parents. I know it's been a long time since we worked together but when I saw this in passing, I couldn't help but drop a note to let you know how sorry I was to hear of your loss.

Marty and Sally - I have so many fond memories of your dad and mom aboard the Big Red and at the Sailfish Club. He was such a warm, kind and giving man - completely in a class by himself. Paul and I have thought of your family so often these past years. Please know that our hearts and prayers are with you.
