Roseanne,
I just found out about your Dad. I often think of all the great times we had as kids growing up on Cottage Street and swimming at Vogt Pool. It seems so far away now. Your parents were the best and we were all lucky to have them. Even tough I wasn't a Kachigian, I spent lots of time at your house and remember us trying to be quiet while your Dad slept on the couch and not being too good at it! I hope your great memories of your Dad help you through this new time in your life. If you ever want to talk or get together my number is 215-337-9447.
Your friend always,
Kim

My deepest sympathies to the entire Kachigian family
In all my years in the PPD there was no one more memorable than Malcolm J. His sense of professionalism was exceeded only by his sense of humour. His passing will leave a deep irretrievable loss in the lives of those that live on, his memory will leave a perpetual smile on our faces. Rest in Peace Malcolm

"You and I are the same; what we were for each other, we still are,
Speak to me as you always have, do not be sad
Continue to laugh at what made us laugh
Smile and think of me
Life means what it always meant
The link is not severed
Why should I be out of your soul if I am out of your sight?
I will wait for you, I am not here,
but just on the other side of this path
You see, all is well."

Our heartfelt sympathy to you and yours,

Be Still
Be still like the grass on a melancholy summer day
Be still like desert shrub.
Be calm and you will hear your loved one speak, in the stillness, in the calm, their love resounds.
If you are still this promise I make, you will hear the voice of your loved one helping you along your way.

Dear Michael,
Our deepest sympathy goes out to you, Suzanne and your family. I know how much you loved being able to go on your golf trips with your dad and how much you loved being able to help out with "chores and projects" around the house for them when you were "home." May God bless and keep you all in His care during this time of sadness and extreme loss.

Dear Ellen, Please accept my most sincere condolences on the loss of your husband Malcom. I offer sympathies, as well, to all the family. Unfortunately, although I've known Malcolm for over forty years, I only got to meet two of the children, Edward and of course Michael, with whom I got to play a lot of golf. Then, too, there was the psuedo adopted son, Andy Keenan, who also shares in our loss. Malcolm was so well loved by the members of our police golf association, and he will be missed dearly. I am so glad I had the opportunity to be in his company last year at the golf reunion at Keenan's home. God bless you, Ellen. You are all in my prayers.

As one of the members of those golf trips I have nothing but fond memories of Mal and the many laughs we had together. I will miss him very much and myself and my family send our deepest sympathies to Ellen and the Kachigian Family. Besides being a golfing buddy Mal was also my very first Captain in the Police Dept.

Death leaves a heartache no one can heal, love leaves a memory no one can steal. The members of our CopNET family would like to thank Malcolm J. Kachigian for his dedication and service to the citizens of Philadelphia. The passing of Malcolm will be broadcast to our 3,379 members shortly and we would like to extend our sincere condolences to his family. His absence from our ranks will be deeply missed by the remaining members of Philadelphia's Finest who were fortunate to have served with him during his police career. He will continue in our thoughts and prayers during our remaining days. "Until we meet again, may God Hold you in the palm of his hand. " . . .
Semper Fidelis.
