DR. MARTIN NELSON FRANK

FRANK DR. MARTIN NELSON Son of Hyman and Belle Frank (nee Horn), died Aug. 17, 2023. He is survived by children: David Frank, Lori Weinrott, Nina Frank, Theodore Frank, Sally Frank, brother Robert Frank, and 14 grandchildren: Samuel, Phoebe, Maxwell, Daniel, Madeline, Phi, Koby, Eli, Remy, Zoe, Tessa, Julien, Eva, Leo. Dr. Frank served in the US Navy during WW II as an electronic technician on the minesweeper USS Adams in the Pacific theatre. He was on the staff of Abington Memorial Hospital for 45 years, was Co-chief of the cardiology division from 1970 to 1990 and Physician of the Year in 1990. He was Adjunct Associate Professor of Medicine Temple University, Fellow of the American College of Physicians and Fellow of the American College of Cardiology. He published 13 original research articles in peer-reviewed journals. Dr. Frank was an avid clarinetist and saxophonist in various jazz and classical groups. He played tennis till age 88 at Roosevelt and Logan Tennis Clubs, enjoyed sailing on the Chester River and was an avid Eagles Fan. Services are private.
