MICHAEL J. 'MICKEY' July 25, 2009 of Grays Ferry. Beloved father of Michelle, Erin (Bill) Dougherty, Sean (Deborah), Kerry (Georgiann) and Ryan (Patricia); survived by their mother Catherine O'Callaghan; also survived by 17 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren; dear brother of Eileen Johnson and Mary Mulholland; also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Relatives, friends and members of Merry Makers N.Y.A. are invited to his Funeral Wednesday 8:30 A.M. at SHEA FUNERAL HOME INC., 29th and Dickinson St. Mass of Christian Burial Church of St. Gabriel 9:30 A.M. Interment Holy Cross Cem. Friends may call Tuesday eve. from 7 to 9 P.M. In lieu of flowers, donations in Mickey's memory to the St. Gabriel Church Memorial Fund, 2917 Dickinson St. Phila. Pa. 19146 would be appreciated.

Mrs O'Callaghan & Family: My thoughts and prayers are with you. Mickey was a great Irishman, Mummer and most importantly, neighbor. I always thought of him as the Lord of 30th St (1500 Block). Footso has some big shoes to fill now! From the days on Broad St with his famous "golden slippers" to the riots at 3T0, Mickey was always there for us. He will be missed. "May you be in Heaven half an hour before the devil knows your dead." God Bless, Mickey.

O'Callaghan's,
You are all in our thoughts and prayers. Uncle Mickey was one of a kind. I just hope he waits until he gets throught the pearly gates before he starts telling God his stories. Uncle Mickey will truly be missed but his stories will live on.

I will miss sitting with Mick and listening to his stories being told only the way he could tell him with that laugh of his. He will be missed but only God knows what he is into now.
