I'm deeply saddened by Rick's passing. He was a good, solid, loyal friend. When I moved to the DC area in 2002, I met Rick at a Jewish event. For no reason other than his generous, helpful nature, Rick introduced me to several friends and contacts in the community, and was instrumental in helping me build my new business, asking for nothing in return, except for maybe a hotdog or two at one of our many Sunday golf outings. Rick was intensely smart on a wide array of topics, and I'll always remember him for his kind and unselfish heart. I'm sorry that I lost track of Rick in the last few years, after he moved out of the area. He'll be missed. Glad I got to know the man.

I can't tell you how sad I am to hear about your loss.
Rick was a great person. A great friend, a boyfriend who helped me so much in my years in America, in NYC especially.
I remember you as a great family with great values, and so was your son. I moved on to live in Israel, but thought of him at times, wondering how is is doing. I tried once to contact him, as good friends do, but did not hear from him.
I pray that god will give you strengths to go on.
