Dale Evilsizer Obituary

Dale Murris Evilsizer, 82, of Tawas City, our kind, humble and generous father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend, peacefully departed this life on Tuesday, Aug. 19, 2025, with his family by his side.
Dale was born on Oct. 18, 1942, in Ponitac, the son of the late George and Velma (King) Evilsizer. Dale graduated from Waterford Mott High School and went on to work for Pontiac Motors. He dedicated over 28 years of faithful service, where he fostered a work ethic that exemplified integrity and characteristics he passed down through generations.
While attending a church event, sharply dressed in a white tuxedo, he met the former Linda Beegle, who was singing in the choir. They dated for six months and were united in marriage on May 27, 1967. Together they shared over 56 years; sadly Linda, passed away on June 23, 2023. Their love story was a testament to devotion and partnership. Together, they built a family rich in love and shared experiences.
Dale was a true lover of the outdoors, often enjoying family walks and embracing his passion for deer hunting. He possessed a vibrant spirit that resonated with those around him, and he devoted his life to creating joyful moments with his family-especially his grandchildren, who brought him immeasurable happiness.
A longtime collector of National Geographic magazines, Dale utilized his enthusiasm for nature not only to explore the great outdoors but also to foster a deeper understanding of the world around him. He took great joy in creating beautiful handmade photo frames, each one carefully crafted to celebrate the cherished moments of family life. These framed pieces will forever hold the memories of laughter, love, and togetherness that Dale fostered within his family.
As a faithful parishioner of East Tawas Church of the Nazarene, Dale found strength in his faith, further illustrating his commitment to community and service.
To carry on his legacy, Dale leaves his children, Dale Evilsizer Jr., Tom (Becky) Evilsizer, and Josh Evilsizer; grandchildren, Jacob Evilsizer, Megan Evilsizer, Abigail Evilsizer, Emilie Evilsizer, Landon Evilsizer, and Logan Evilsizer; sister, Phyllis Head and April Hill; sister-in-law, Janet (Don) Vallad, along with many nieces and nephews. Along with his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by his in-laws, Charles and Shirley (Sass) Beegle and brother-in-law, Chuck Beegle.
Final arrangements have been entrusted to Skorupski Family Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 1550 Midland Rd., between State & Gratiot. A Memorial Ceremony will be held at a later date at East Tawas Church of the Nazarene. Memorial contributions may be directed to the wishes of the family. Expressions of sympathy may be shared with the family online at www.skorupskis.com.
