Ronald Ellsworth Obituary

Ronald Ellsworth, 71, of Harrisville, passed away Sunday, Aug. 17, 2025.
Born Aug. 10, 1954, to Truman and Eleanora (Malcom) Ellsworth in El Paso, Texas, he was raised in Albuquerque, N.M. Ron proudly served in the United States Air Force, and was a veteran of the Vietnam War. He was a Small Arms Expert, and received the Marksmanship Ribbon.
Throughout his military career, Ron was a Professional Military Graduate, and attended the Officer Academy, Officer Leadership School, and Supervisory Development School. He retired as a Master Sergeant at Wurtsmith Air Force Base in Oscoda.
Ron loved living in Northeastern Michigan almost as much as he loved his time in the military. On June 18, 2005, he married Brande Rink at Negwegon Beach in Black River.
Ron served as the treasurer of the Alcona Humane Society, and coached the Alcona Community Schools Varsity Bowling Team. He was a member of Community of Christ Church in Mikado.
Ron enjoyed the outdoors, especially fishing, boating and gardening. He was an avid golfer and bowler. He was a motorcycle enthusiast, and enjoyed snowmobiling. He was an animal lover and a devoted pet parent.
Ron is survived by his loving wife, Brande; two sisters, Susie (Carl) Profazi and Judy Marks; and his brother, Byron Ellsworth; as well as several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Truman and Eleanora Ellsworth.
There will be a Celebration of Ron's life, with military honors, on Sunday, Sept. 7, at 1 p.m., at Community of Christ Church, 3155 E. F-30, Mikado. Rev. Char McGuire will officiate. Memorial donations are suggested to the Alcona Humane Society.
