Mark Altman
July 19, 1959 - April 10, 2023
Ridgeland, South Carolina - Mark Francis Altman, 63, of Ridgeland, SC passed away on April 10, 2023. He was born on July 19, 1959, in Jacksonville, FL to the late Mr. Joseph Altman and Mrs. Evelyn Hubbard Willard. During his career in law enforcement, he worked as a security guard for Palmetto Dunes on Hilton Head Island, a detective for the Bluffton Police Department and later became a Captain with the Ridgeland Police Department before his retirement. Mark served in the SC Army National Guard for seven years. Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Tammy Altman; children, Mark Altman (Jenika), Justin Altman; grandchildren, Autumn, Mason, Lilly, Eisley, Colton; mother, Evelyn Willard (Kent); brothers, Miles Altman (Bonnie), Don Willard, Scott Willard (Twiggy). He was preceded in death by two children, Jason and Sommer Altman.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00pm on April 15, 2023, at Coosawhatchie Baptist Church, Coosawhatchie, SC. Visitation will begin at 1:00pm at the church.
