Patricia Whyte Edington was my true friend during our high school years at Byrd High in Shreveport, LA. I was able to be a bridesmaid in her wedding in December, 1964. She and Howard visited my husband and me in our home in Lake Providence, LA. where we have lived for 60 years. Always, though I never made use of cell phone texts or frequent calls or even letters, I was glad to hear news of their various churches and their family. Just this past Easter I received Holy Week sermons from a series called Faces and Places Around the Cross by Howard Edington. I had Tricia on my mind, in my heart, all through Easter---loving, fun memories even going back to the days when we carpooled and we enjoyed her little brothers. ("Do the job, do it right.....ACME --I think " What a beautiful person she was and a loyal friend to me at a time in my life when "loyalty" seemed so rare. I know that she will be greatly missed, but I am counting on the LORD of our lives to have taken her in His arms and welcomed her home. With so much love to Meg and Beth, whom I only "met" in photos when they were small, and to Howard also from Thomas and me.

D we are so saddened and heart-broken to learn of Tricia´s death. The Wedington s were at First Presbyterian in Pine Bluff when our children young. Beth and our son, Bart, were in the same grade, John David was younger than our son, Stephen, but they were great buds.
We tried to keep up with them as they moved around, we always knew where they were even if we didn´t communicate.
She was such a giving person and so loving to congregation which I know followed her .
