Ronald Peter Carzoli Sr.

Ronald Peter Carzoli Sr. June 17, 1930 - December 6, 2013 Ronald Carzoli, 83, of Hilton Head, SC, passed away Friday, December 6, 2013, at home following a year long illness. He was born in Detroit, MI to Alfred and Santina Carzoli. Ron served in the U.S. Army and then completed his undergraduate degree at Wayne State University and received an MBA from the University of Akron. During his college years, Ron met the love of his life Patricia Doyle whom he wed on Feb. 20, 1954. Ron began his career at Ford Motor Company, starting on the assembly line while in school and working his way up to Vice President of Industrial Relations for Ford in Europe. Ron subsequently led Human Resources at Mead Paper in Dayton, Ohio, and then for Seagram Corporation in New York where he completed his career. Ron was a caring and giving man who believed in helping others. He served on the board of Tuberous Sclerosis and dedicated time to many other charities including Friends with Wheels and the Catholic Church. Ron was an avid golfer and served as President of Dolphin Head Country Club. He also loved rooting for the Detroit Lions and the University of Notre Dame. Ron was a wonderful husband and father and is survived by his wife, Patricia Carzoli, and his children Pamela Brun , Ronald Carzoli Jr., Julie Ostrowski , Linda Carzoli, MarySue Goza and Amy Daniel, and their spouses. He was well loved by his 30 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, December 14th, 2:00pm, at St. Francis by the Sea, Hilton Head Island, SC, with a reception following in the church hall.
