Andrew Mann Obituary

Andrew J. Mann, 83

1939 - 2022

Naples, FL - Andrew J. Mann, 83, of Naples, FL, passed away Thursday, September 29, at Massachusetts General Hospital, following a brief illness. He was the beloved husband of the late Frances A. (Cloonan) Mann.

Andrew was born on March 15, 1939, in Lynn, MA to parents Aniello and Minnie (Colantuoni) Mann. He was raised and educated in Lynn, a graduate of Lynn Classical High School.

Prior to his retirement, Andrew worked as a machinist in GE in Lynn. He enjoyed traveling with his late wife, Fran, and split time between their homes in Lynn and Naples. Andrew was an avid sports fan who grew up playing basketball and was a loyal supporter of the New England Patriots, Boston Celtics, and the Boston Red Sox. Later in life, Andrew joined a Bocce league in Naples. His enthusiasm for sports, paired with love of classic Western films and Jeopardy made Andy an asset to any trivia team.

Andrew is preceded in death by his parents, wife, and his older brother Tony Mann. Andrew is survived by his four sisters, Lucille Briggs, Marie Obey, Emily and Arthur Babine, Jean and Michael Shadoff, sister-in-law Barbara Mann, all of Lynn. He also leaves behind many nieces and nephews he enjoyed spending time with.

Service Information: Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 6, from 4PM-8PM at the Solimine Funeral Home, 426 Broadway (Rt. 129), Lynn. His funeral will be held on Friday, October 7, at 10AM in the funeral home. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Lynn.
