Eileen C. Houlihan

NAPLES, Fla. -- Eileen Catherine Houlihan (McCarthy), of Naples, Fla., formerly of Nahant , passed away peacefully on Monday, Feb. 1, 2016. Beloved wife of 61 years to Robert E. Houlihan.  Daughter of Kelly and John McCarthy of Roslindale. Cherished mother, mother-in-law, and grandmother of Noreen Liebrock and husband, John, of Pittsburgh, Pa. and their children Timothy, Catherine and Stephen, Robert and wife, Anne Marie, of South Windsor, Conn., and their children, Connor and Margaret, Joseph and his wife, Susan, of Atlanta, Ga., and their children, Shaun, Corey, and Megan, Eileen Murphy and husband, Michael, of E. Greenwich, R.I., and their son, Drew, Damien and wife, Michelle, of Sandwich and their children, Mary, Abigail and Liam, Chris and wife, Beth Whitlock, of Sudbury and their children, Samuel and Ella.She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Eileen was born in Boston and grew up in Roslindale before moving to Nahant, where she and Bob raised their six children. For the last 25 years she and Bob enjoyed many fun-filled days with family and friends in Naples, Fla., and Wareham. Eileen is preceded in death by her brothers, Jackie, Buddy, Gene, Franny and Joe. Service information: Memorial and celebration of life services will be held in the coming months in Naples and Wareham.
