Matthew A. Plouffe

LYNN -- Matthew A. Plouffe, 62, of Lynn, passed away on Wednesday, Oct. 30, 2019 in North Shore Medical Center Salem Hospital with his loving family at his side, after a courageous battle with cancer. Matthew was born April 29, 1957 in Lynn, he is the son of the late Robert J. and Janice A. (Brown) Plouffe. He was a lifelong resident of Lynn. He was a graduate of Lynn Vocational Technical Institute, Class of 1975. Matthew worked as a mover for Eastern Commonwealth for many years. He previously worked for Phillip Lighting Company. Matthew will always be remembered as a dedicated father, brother and friend, and will also be remembered for his great sense of humor. He enjoyed all sports especially the local Boston teams. He was also an avid fisherman and recently took up cooking. He is survived by his daughter, Kasey Plouffe of Lynn; his longtime partner of 30 years, Anne Gray and her daughter Lyndsay and their grandson Malachi; his brothers, Wade Plouffe and his wife Patricia Cornell of Peabody, Dean Plouffe of Lynn, Robert Plouffe Jr. of Lynn; his sisters, Linda Plouffe and her husband Paul Zabierek of Lynn, Stacy Trott and her husband David of Peabody, Rhonda Plouffe and her longtime partner Robert Smith of Lynn and Michelle Russo and her husband Jay of Georgetown. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and great friends. In addition to his mother and father, Matthew is predeceased by his brother Scott Plouffe. Matthew will be missed by all who loved him.
