Our prayers and sincere condolences to David's wife and children, and all his siblings. We have great memories of all the Cato brothers and sisters from our elementary, junior high and high school years. A very nice and talented family. May God bless you all and comfort your hearts at this time. Rest in peace, beloved David.

I am so saddened to hear of David's passing. He was a lifelong friend starting in kindergarten. We played baseball together thru high school. Tremendous athlete and great teammate. My condolences to Judy and all the family. I have been blessed to have him as a friend.

The Skillman family will be praying for the entire Cato family during this time. I was a '79 Brawley High classmate of David's little sister, Mary, and a softball teammate of brother Tom way back one summer in the 80s, but David had already paved the way for me in the Orland and Chico area when I moved to northern California in 2002. When I met the Orland mayor back then after becoming their City Engineer, he asked me where I was from. I responded that it was a little town near the border that he probably hadn't heard of. To my surprise, he was a co-worker with David at Orland High and knew much about Brawley and the Cato family. I will forever be grateful to David for that.
Peace be with you,
Kenneth G Skillman III
