GEORGE KELLOGG Obituary

GEORGE WESLEY

KELLOGG

May 11, 1929 Nov. 29, 2021

George Wesley Kellogg, 92, of Clear Creek, CA passed away on Monday, November 29, 2021, in Chester, CA. George was born on May 11, 1929, in Jordan, Montana to Ira Noble Kellogg and Emma Elizabeth Kellogg. At an early age he was drafted into the Army during the Korean War and spent his tour based at Camp Rucker, Alabama, as their company clerk. He then began his career with the United States Gypsum company where he worked for 40 years, retiring in 1989.

On a more personal level, he loved laughter, family, and friends. He and his wife, Mary Belle Kellogg adopted Kevin Ira Kellogg and Kendyl Melissa Kellogg in the 1960s. He was a wonderful father, friend and grandfather. He embraced life to the fullest, you could say he worked hard and played harder. He was very family oriented and tried to get together with his family any chance he could.

George was preceded in death by his first wife, Mary Belle Petersen Kellogg; his second wife, Phyllis Manchester Kellogg; his parents, Ira Noble Kellogg and Emma Elizabeth Kellogg; siblings, Virginia Osborn, Ruth Maxie, Mary Owens, Marjorie Kellogg, Harold Kellogg, and Kenneth Kellogg.

He is survived by his son, Kevin Kellog and his wife Lorena; daughter, Kendyl Kellogg; grandchildren, Kaitlyn Belle Finegan and her husband Patrick; and Grant Thomas Kellogg.

Services will be held in Lewistown, MT in July of 2022 followed by a celebration of life. The family suggests memorials and donations to go to charitable organizations of your choosing.
