GEORGE DUARTE ROMERO

George was called by our Lord on October 10, 2012 with his mother and brother at his bedside.
George was born on June 1, 1952 in Mexicali, B.C. and attended schools in El Centro, who graduated from Central Union High School. In October of 1971 he married Adelina Cardenaz. George worked for Valley Lumber, 84 Lumber and in construction most of his life.
He was preceded in death by father, Jose Romero; brother, Sergio; grandson, Michael Angel; niece Vanessa and nephew, Rene.
George is survived by his mother Lucia Romero; brother, Gilbert; daughters, Georgina and Melanie; grandsons, Nickolas, Seth, Jacob and Christopher; granddaughters, Natalie and Angelina. Also his long time companion Olivia Olague as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.
George we will miss you, but knowing that you are with our Lord means you are always with us in spirit.
There will be a visitation at Hems Mortuary on Thursday, October 18, 2012 at 6 p.m. with the rosary being prayed at 7 p.m. Mass will be held at Our Lady of Guadalupe in El Centro on Friday, October 19, 2012 at 10 a.m. officiated by father Ruben Valenzuela.

In great respects to a man who deserves to be remembered as a true,good,person. He spent many times with my Dad Alex Sanchez,which is the reason me and my brothers know George. Always loved the joking around & the way he carried himself since i was a lil kid. Big love from all thee Los Sanchez from the Valley. You are missed George. We love you.

Rest in peace George, its been awhile since we cross passes, but I always wonder what ever happened to you. I always remember you as the flashy guy who was always dress up, not a hair outa place, not like the other guys (including me) in the Northside. Rest in peace my friend.

My deepest sympathy to the Familia. I'd known George since 6th grade. Its been many yrs seen I'd seen George but whenever his name came up it always brought a smile to our Faces!
