Jesus passed away on May 21, 2025, at the age of 91, in El Centro, CA. He was loved by many, especially his family. Ernie loved to smile, laugh, and talk to everyone he would encounter. He was an amazing husband to his wife, Ruth. A loving father to his four children, Nena, Bebe (Marisela), Mark, and Chula. He unconditionally loved his grandchildren, Bubb (Michael), Sergio (Selina), Cassie, Danny (Sabrina), Ethan, Caitlin, and Michael, and great-grandchildren, Olivia and Zeke. He enjoyed happy memories of his siblings, Aida, Carmen, Yolanda, and Annie. Ernie had an enormous, generous heart and always enjoyed spending time with his family and fur babies. He will be missed but never forgotten.
Services will be held on June 28, 2025, with a Rosary at 9 a.m. Mass will commence at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church in Calexico, CA. Burial to follow at Mt. View Cemetery in Calexico, CA.

To Ernies Family.
My most sincere condolence to his Family. I had the Honor and Pleasure to work with Ernie at the Calexico Port of Entry. When he made railroad coordinator I was his Assistant for a whole year. Let me tell you there was never a dull moment in our daily duties. It was a learning experience and exceptional year. He knew everyone and needless say everyone knew Him.
