Linda Ann Camarena, 71, of Imperial, CA passed away December 17, 2021. Her loving daughter and caretaker, Teresa was by her side along with her other daughter, Cindy and Cindy's husband, Dustin.

Linda was born in Cleveland, Ohio on June 12, 1950 and has been a life-long resident of Imperial Valley. Here she found her true love, husband, Ernesto Salazar Camarena. They were married for 39 years, Ernesto became a born-again Christian and they renewed their vows at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church June 23, 2012. Together, they raised Linda's first daughter, Catina followed by their daughters, Teresa, Cindy, and later, their grandson, Steven.

A faithful Christian, Linda was a long-time member of the Imperial Community Church in Imperial. She often expressed her love and gratitude to God and Jesus, even during her most challenging days with cancer.

For some 20 years, Linda enjoyed her job at the Imperial Valley Press and close friendships with coworkers. In addition, Linda enjoyed gardening and loved animals.

Linda was preceded in death by her husband, Ernesto on October 2, 2014 and her 21 year old grandson, Dusk on November 13, 2017.

I only knew Linda for a short time, but she had a vibrant personality, and her faith shone brightly.
She fought a good fight, and finished well.

- While we say goodby to her at this time, it is only for a short while. In the interim, she is fully healed; and with with Ernesto, in the presence of her Savior Jesus.

To the family of Linda Camerena, I feel blessed to have known Linda and her family. We met at the Imperial Valley Press over 30 years ago. Outside of work, we maintained our friendship throughout the years. We attended many events, concerts and fairs together. I feel blessed to have seen her daughters and grandchildren grow up. I mourn with you, but I take comfort in knowing that I will see my "dear friend" again in Heaven!
