It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Martha "Marty" Benjamin on March 25, 2025, at the age of 74. Martha was born on January 16, 1951, in Sewickley, PA.

Martha graduated from San Pasqual High School. She met the love of her life and beloved husband, Clarence "Benny" Benjamin, of 35 years. Martha's journey was marked by her deep love for her family, serving as a pillar of strength, support, and guidance. She was admired for her dedication to her job, her faith, and her friends. She loved to sing and appreciated nature.

Martha started her career in banking at Bank of America in El Centro in 1973. She began working for Valley Independent Bank in the early 80's, and eventually Rabobank and Mechanics Bank. After 35 years of consecutive notable service, she retired from Mechanics Bank and moved to Kentucky in 2021.

Martha is survived by her daughters, Denise "Dee Dee" Garcia and Jeanette "Jenny" Benjamin; son-in-law, Daniel Garcia (Denise); grandchildren, Katelyn and Kylie Toth, Maggie and Luke Garcia, Colby Johnson, and Darren Hall; brother, Samuel Humer and sister-in-law, Bertha; sister, Kathleen Ball and brother-in-law, Lee Ball; sister-in-law, Sue Humer; and several nieces and nephews.

Preceded in joining the Lord: mother & father, John & Hilda Humer; husband, Benny Benjamin; and her brothers, Henry and John Humer.

Burial will be at Evergreen Cemetery in El Centro, California on Friday, May 2, 2025, at 9 a.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Martha's honor to St. Elizabeth Foundation c/o Hospice Programs, 1 Medical Village Drive, Edgewood, KY 41017.
