PETE SEVERANCE Obituary


Pete was born in Redlands, CA to William R. and Susan G. Severance on May 2, 1919. He passed away on June 13, 2016. Pete joined the U.S. Navy in 1939 attaining the rank of Lieutenant Commander and was a Pearl Harbor Survivor. He was Standard Oil Distributor for 30 years in El Centro. Pete was an expert sailor winning world championships in his class in 1975 and 1976. He and Jeri enjoyed camping throughout Mexico and traveling to different countries around the world. He was preceded in passing by his wife of 73 years, Geraldine and daughter, Candice Bright (Lon). He is survived by his sons, Peter G. (Sherry) Jr., William C. and Mark S. (Denise); grandchildren, Peter III, Jana Corby, Cristin, Dan, Zack, Joseph, Sarah, Ryan and 9 great-grandchildren. No services will be held.

He was our neighbor on Wensley.
What a great person he was. He had so many good times with all his adventures.
He will be missed by all that knew him.
Just know that he is in the Arms of Jesus.
