RAYMOND FRIX Obituary

RAYMOND CLIFFORD (CLIFF) FRIX

May 4, 1929 Feb. 5, 2024

Clifford Frix went to sleep in death on February 5, 2024 in El Centro with his wife by his side, 3 months shy of his 95th birthday. His wish was to make it to 100. Cliff was born in DeQueen, Arkansas.

He grew up as a very happy boy into a happy man, he had a lot of happy memories, and always had a smile on his face. Cliff was adventurous and tried many things. Once he followed the rodeo for awhile, he rode broncs in Oklahoma. Being a cowboy was rough, but he did it. He graduated high school and then went to Texas A & M, and while he was there he was drafted into the Army. After that, he married and had two daughters the bright lights in his life, Becky and Iris. At that time he was farming outside of Brawley. During his lifetime, he tried his hands at many things owning a hotel and two stores. Later in life he was a painting contracter. He painted many homes and businesses around the valley. He was an adventours man loving life. He traveled the U.S. and Canada by motor home and motorcycle. He appreciated what Jehovah had given him. Cliff told many people that the last 17 years have been the happiest he has ever had. He and Mona did everything together. Cliff was an avid golfer, and he taught her. They made the desert their winter home and the mountains their summer home. No matter what they did just being together was fun and they appreciated every minute that God had given them. Together his children gave him joy on their visits he always looked forward to the next visit. Sleep well my dear husband until I see you again you are in Jehovas memory.

He was preceded in death by his father, Raymond Frix Sr.; mother, Ruth Frix; son, Raymond Frix III; and brother, Keith Frix.

He is survived by his wife, Mona Preece Frix; daughters, Rebecca Thompson (Michael) of Denver, CO; Iris Sharp of Merced, CA; stepdaughter, Lisa Henson (Ray) of San Diego, CA; sisters, Audrey White of Little Rock, AR; Paula Mitchell of Kemp, TX; and Janie Mitchell of Little Rock, AR; 3 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great grandchildren.

Thanks to all that visited and prayed at the hospital brought flowers, visited sent cards, text messages, calls, all were appreciated so much more than you know.

There are no services planned at this time per Cliff's request.

Cliff was a good friend and a loving husband. It was a privilege to know him. He always had something positive to say and a pleasure to be around. He will be missed but not forgotten. He knew his Creator and looked forward to his promises for a happy future near at hand.
