TIMOTHY DAFFERN Obituary

Timothy Edward Daffern, known to his friends and family as Duck, passed away on May 12, 2023, at the age of 43 in Sunray, Texas. He was a devoted family man and beloved by many. Duck was born on June 24, 1979, in Brawley, California, to Chester and Tina Daffern.
He attended Brawley and Westmorland schools for his primary education and later graduated from Calipatria High School in 1997. After high school, Duck served in the Air Force for 6 years. He was proud of his military service and the associations he made during that time. Following his military service, Duck became the manager of Sunray Coop tire shop, where he worked until his passing. Duck was an avid fan of the Dallas Cowboys and loved watching their games. He also worshipped at Sunray Baptist Church.
Duck is survived by his wife, Marla Daffern of Sunray, Texas; and their children, Joshua, Cadence, and Sebastian. He is also survived by his parents, Chester and Tina Daffern of Tonopah, Arizona; brothers, Chester (Cortney) of Surprise, Arizona, Jason of Tonopah, Arizona, Eric (Kristina) of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and Richard of Wickenburg, Arizona; sisters, Breanna Wheeler (Brennan) of Glendale, AZ, Ashley (Curtis) of Wittman, Arizona, and Elizabeth Daffern of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Duck was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Harry and Ora Kenway; paternal grandparents, William and Juanita Daffern; cousins, James, Owen, and Blake Daffern; and godson, Brandon Camargo.
Services for Duck will be held on June 24, 2023, at 10 a.m. at the Community Bible Church at 50650 N. 1st Ave. in Aguila, Arizona. Lunch will follow the service, and all are invited to attend.

We are so sorry to read of Timmy´s passing. Our kids were little when we worked together and will forever remember the good times with our families on company picnics, potlucks and camping trips. Always thinking of you all. Prayers for you and your family as you try and somehow get through this difficult time.

Years ago Timmy was a student of mine. He was a joy to have in class as he was respectful and got along with others. I remember him fondly. May his family feel God's arms around them as they mourn his passing.
