TRACEY RIDDLE Obituary

Tracey Lynn Riddle, 58, a longtime resident of Imperial, was called home to the Lord on Monday, December 14, 2020. Those who loved her have, and continue to, miss her dearly. Born and raised in the Imperial Valley, Tracey was a woman who spent her time making friends everywhere she went, from her school days (Go, Spartans!), to her days at Pacific Telephone, the Auto Club, and Ben Hulse Elementary. Throughout the stages of her life, Tracey was dedicated to her faith, and did her best to lead a life that showed it. She spent many years volunteering at her churches, helping to lead Sunday School activities, classes, and VBS for many years at Central Baptist Church in El Centro, and, in later years, volunteering whenever and wherever she could at First Southern Baptist Church, in Imperial, after moving her membership back to the church of her youth. Part of a large and ever growing family, Tracey was never short of loved ones to dote on or praise, and one of the things she will be best remembered for is her generous heart. Tracey never turned a soul away empty handed, was always prepared to help any person or animal in need, and was always willing to volunteer her time (and that of her family's) to help anyone's cause. Tracey had a lot of love to give, and she never met a stranger. She made many lifelong friends during her time on this earth, and she will continue to be remembered fondly by all who knew her. Tracey was preceded in death by her parents, Arvel and Arita Smith. Amongst her many friends, Tracey also leaves behind many family members: husband, Jesse; daughters, Raylee and Arita; brothers, Damon and Darren; half-brother, Doug; step- sisters, Cindy and Tammy; many brothers and sisters-in-law, and numerous nieces and nephews, all of whom she loved greatly. Graveside services for Tracey will be held at Evergreen Cemetery, in El Centro, on Saturday, March 13, 2021, at 8:30 a.m. The family would like to thank everyone for their continued support during this difficult time.

To Tracey's family and friends. I'm praying for comfort while you go through this time of mourning. I remember Tracey when we were both young girls at Desert Gardens elementary and right up through graduation. Memories of her were nothing but pleasant. She was a bit shy but sweet and a friend to everyone. I lost touch with her after high school however, was able to re-engage on FB. I enjoyed seeing her beautiful girls and wonderful husband. It was very evident that she had kept her same sweet loving personality after all these years. I too was surprised and heart broken of her passing. My comfort is knowing she loved Jesus and we will see her again someday. God bless.

Jesse, Raylee, and Arita, I am at a loss for words as I read about the death of your wife and mother. My fond memories are of working with Tracey at Ben Hulse Elementary when she was my instructional aide. I also remember seeing her at Curves in Imperial. Tracey was always happy and full of life. I know she will be missed by all who knew her. May the Lord strengthen and comfort you during these difficult times.
