David Dicus Obituary

David Christopher Dicus

Born December 21, 1986, David passed away suddenly November 27, 2016.

David was an amazing big brother to Tabitha. He absolutely adored her, and they had a very special bond together. David always made sure his mother, Christine, had a fantastic Mother's Day and birthday. He also enjoyed a close, supportive relationship with his father, Brian.

He was a longtime member of Flora Presbyterian Church. David's hobbies included being a NASCAR super fan. He especially enjoyed Jeff Gordon and Tony Stewart. He loved building model airplanes and cars for many years.

David was very passionate about his holiday decorating. He absolutely loved the Christmas season, and wanted everyone to enjoy the spectacular holiday decorations he adorned his house and yard with. He spent most of his summers boating at his great Uncle Bill and Aunt Elinor's lake house.

David had a very special bond with his dog Sally, she never left his side.

His kindness and generosity to others will never be forgotten. David's selflessness and giving spirit touched all of those who knew him. He was always willing to give a helping hand to his neighbors and anyone else in need. David is loved by all who knew him.

David is survived by his loving mother, Christine Pippenger, his father, Brian Pippenger, and sister, Tabitha Pippenger. He had many loving aunts, uncles, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his great-grandmother, Betty Coyle, great-uncle, Sylvestor Bielanowski, and great -aunt Elinor Bielanowski .

A memorial service will be held at Flora Presbyterian Church on Tuesday, December 6 at 7:00 p.m.

Donations may be made in David's memory to: Bosma Enterprises, 8020 Zionsville Road, Indianapolis, IN 46268.

I am so sorry that you are enduring this pain of loosing David. I remember so vividly when David came to Carroll Elementary in the middle of the year. He was a very quiet and likeable little boy. He was rather shy, but talked so much about going on the weekend to Beech Grove and to the fun park there. He tried his hardest and I feel sure his whole life he always did that. It is so sad that his life was cut so short. May is spirit forever live on. You have my sincere sympathy. Please tell Tabby I said, "Hello.
Sincerely,
Jocelyn Britton

David, to young to leave us. But God has different plans. I knew Dave through the Flora public library and for someone who had an eyesight issue he would walk the sidewalks better than some who have 20/20 vision. Dave is now with Jesus and I know this. He not only attended church he walked his faith. He loved Sally his dog. He had Many friends more than he realized. He Really enjoyed decorating his yard. Christmas was his favorite holiday and you knew it by all the Christmas decorations. He loved his younger sister Tabitha. He would pull her in a wagon when they were younger. He enjoyed cooking crockpot meals and boy could he cook! He should have gone to culinary school. He enjoyed making people jump by popping his liter soda bottle whenever he knew he could get away with it. Dave was kind, and fun to be around. I and many others will miss him. I will see him in heaven and I know that. Your Sister in Christ. Share uh lot.
