Jane Lahr Obituary
Jane Lahr, 87, passed away on Friday, November 10, 2017 at Creasy Springs Health Campus in Lafayette.Born August 26th, 1930 to the late Ralph and Minnie Sullivan in Piper City, IL. Thereafter the family moved to a farm in rural Warren County, where her hard work and experiences formed a strong foundation for the rest of Jane's life.Jane attended Pine Village and Boswell schools and sought post-secondary education through Depauw University. She was a family resource specialist at Healthy Families in Lafayette where she shared life experiences and touched many lives. Prior to that she was a manager with B W Wig Shop at Market Square. Jane also enjoyed working for the Flower Mill in Lafayette.Jane's children were very important to her and she strived to instill strong values in them. She was devout in her faith and attended St. Mary's and St. Anne's Catholic Churches.Surviving are her children; Kathryn ONeall, Bruce Butler, Rebecca Morgan, and Warren Lahr; 13 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. They all will miss her guidance and companionship. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, George and Robert Sullivan; sisters, Betty Brown and Harriette Jones, and one grandson.Friends by call from 9:30 - 10:30 a.m., Friday, November 17, 2017 at St. Mary's Catholic Church (1207 Columbia Street, Lafayette, IN) with service to follow at 10:30 a.m. Share memories and condolences online at www.hippensteelfuneralservice.com

Bruce, Kathy, and Becky - I was so sorry to hear of your mother's passing. She was such a lovely and intelligent person. She seemed to have the perfect response in any situation -- the result, I suspect, of having deeply-felt convictions. I know you will miss her tremendously, and hope that your memories of her will help you through this difficult time.

To Kathy, Bruce, And my little Becca and Warren! Memories flow back to me! Your Momma gave me my first real job! Taking care of Becky while your Mom had to work and I learned the duties of cleaning cooking and laundry But truly enjoying Becky's personality growing and Also Warren as such a good baby!
